Dr. Mario Contaldi, founder and president of Southwest Vision Center, has been caring for the eyes of Northeast Tarrant County for almost 30 years. He is originally from Stratford, Connecticut, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. In 1984, he received his Doctorate in Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is certified by the National Board of Examiners in the treatment and management of ocular disease, and glaucoma, in the states of Texas, Tennessee and California. Dr. Contaldi is a member, in good standing, of the American Optometric Association and is serving as a Board Member with the Texas Optometric Association.

In 1987, Dr. Contaldi acquired Optical Outlets, and in July of 1998 completed construction of the state-of-the-art facility in North Richland Hills, known as Southwest Vision Center. To date, it is one of the largest eye care facilities in Northeast Tarrant County.

Dr. Contaldi is a passionate sports fan, music lover, as well as an exercise fanatic. He spends much of his free time playing drums and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
